Third Judicial
Circuit Court
The Third Judicial Circuit is one of twenty trial court circuits in the State of Florida. Its main administrative offices are in Lake City. The Third Judicial Circuit operates under the leadership of Chief Judge Melissa G. Olin and Charles Hydovitz, Trial Court Administrator.
Welcome from the Chief Judge
Welcome to our beautiful Circuit located in North Central Florida. The Third Judicial Circuit is one of twenty circuits in the State of Florida. We have the largest geographical circuit in the State stretching from the Gulf of Mexico to the State of Georgia, which includes the counties of Columbia, Dixie, Hamilton, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee, and Taylor.Â
Our judiciary consists of seven circuit judges and seven county judges. Our circuit is unique in that, unlike most other circuits, all judges here in the Third Judicial Circuit preside over different case types to include both civil and criminal matters. Â
I am honored to have been elected by our judiciary to fulfill the position of Chief Judge, and to be charged with the authority to promote the prompt and efficient administration of justice in the Third Judicial Circuit. Please explore our website to get more information about our circuit and our courts.
