IN RE:ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 2018-002 (Supersedes 2004-012) SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY AND PROCEDURES FOR COMPLAINTS AGAINST TRIAL COURT JUDGES
WHEREAS, on February 16, 2018, the Florida Supreme Court issued Administrative Order SC18-6, “Sexual Harassment Policy and Procedures for Complaints against Justices and Judges”;
WHEREAS the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit acknowledges the importance of fostering a workplace free of sexual harassment or sexual misconduct; andÂ
WHEREAS the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit is responsible for the administrative supervision of the courts of this Circuit by Article V, section 2(d) of the Florida Constitution, and Florida Rule of Judicial Administration 2.215(b);
It is therefore ORDERED; In accordance with Administrative Order SC18-6, the Third Judicial Circuit adopts and implements the Florida Supreme Court’s “Sexual Harassment Policy and Procedures and Sexual Harassment Complaints against Justices and Judges.” T1ris policy is attached to this Administrative Order.
This Order is effective immediately and supersedes all previous administrative orders addressing sexual harassment policies, specifically Administrative Order 2004-012.
