WHEREAS, the Court receives numerous requests for extension of time to pay fines;
WHEREAS, this Court has routinely granted extensions of up to thirty days for payment of civil traffic fines;
WHEREAS, the current depressed state of the economy and high unemployment rate causes many of our citizens to have economic difficulties;
WHEREAS, the Court is willing to grant an automatic thirty day extension for payment of traffic fines upon request;
IT IS HEREBY,
ORDERED that Court’s traffic clerks may approve a thirty day extension to pay civil traffic fines upon the request of defendants provided that the extension and new deadline for payment are clearly noted in the file along with the name of the deputy clerk granting the extension.
