ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER DESIGNATING ACTING CHIEF JUDGE
FOR THE THIRD JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Florida, under Florida Rule of General Practice and Judicial Administration 2.215(c)(4), I hereby designate The Honorable Mark E. Feagle as Acting Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit during an anticipated temporary absence of the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit between the dates of September 22, 2024, through October 6, 2024.
The Honorable Mark E. Feagle is also appointed as Acting Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit in the event of the death[1] or disability of the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Florida during her temporary absence until a successor Chief Judge is elected to serve the unexpired term. While designated, the Acting Chief Judge is hereby vested with all and singular powers and prerogatives of the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit, including the power of substitution.
This Administrative Order is effective from Sunday, September 22, 2024, through Sunday, October 6, 2024, unless otherwise provided herein and supersedes any provisions in prior Administrative Orders which may be inconsistent.

[1] Upon the death of any judge, all matters pending before that judge shall be heard and determined by the judge’s successor, and parties making any motion before such judge shall suffer no detriment by reason of his or her death. §38.12, Fla. Stat. (2024). The executor or administrator of any judge who dies pending any matter before him or her shall file all papers found among the papers of his or her intestate or testator with the said clerk. Id.
