IN RE:DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY TO THE TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR
WHEREAS, the Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit has the authority to delegate the ability to bind the Circuit in contract, pursuant to section 43.26(2)(f), Florida Statutes; and may delegate the ability to authorize and approve travel expenditures, pursuant to section 112.061(3)(a), Florida Statutes.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the authority vested in the Chief Judge by Article V, section 2(d) of the Florida Constitution, sections 43.26(2)(f) and 112.061(3)(a), Florida Statutes, and Florida Rule of General Practice and Judicial Administration 2.215, it is hereby ORDERED,
effective September 1, 2025:
(1) Philip A. Fowler, Trial Court Administrator, is delegated the authority to execute any and all contracts on behalf of the Circuit, and his execution of same shall bind the Circuit as if signed by the Chief Judge.
(2) Philip A. Fowler, Trial Court Administrator, is delegated the authority to authorize and approve all travel expenditures.
(3) Philip A. Fowler, Trial Court Administrator, is delegated the authority to approve media requests in conformity with rule 2.450, Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration, subject at all times to the authority of a presiding judge or the Chief Judge.
